Yes stitches are so much better! And yes follow docs orders!!!! Typically if they schedule a csection they do it at the 39 week mark. But not before. Also my csections went smoothly for the most part. I have a habit of blood pressure dropping when they open meup, but I just tell the nurse that sits at your head that I'm passing out and she is usually already administering medicine at that point lol. Also, deff listen to your docs instructions, I was trying to be supermom after my second and walked down stairs with laundry. Ended up tripping, landing on the basket and ripping my stitches open and had to go back in to be re-sewed. It was not fun at all!
Follow the doctors orders.I have had two about to have my third and with my second I went home cleaning and all I released a huge blood clot afterwards...also ask your doctor with they use staples or stitches. To me stitches are better with my first I had stitches with my second I had staples and ended up with an infection in my incision and it was nasty and smelly...recovery is better with stitches as well..Thats my opinion..hope it helps
Thanks I needed to hear positive there's so much negative out there :)
My C-section with my first was for two reasons: my water broke at 36 weeks AND baby was breach. I would describe C-section as "creepy" (strange tugging, pulling sensations and "squishy" noises) but not painful. My recovery was very smooth. Just follow the doctor's orders to a t. I know that may sound silly, but I may not have if I hadn't had the experience of not following orders on a knee surgery many years ago and having to live with those consequences (a second surgery!). I think getting up and walking around as soon as possible helped me greatly.
