Pre labor symptoms (maybe)

I'm 38 weeks & last night I was laying down & got that menstrual cramp feeling. So I took a shower 2 see if that help. It didn't, (tmi alert) so then I was basically on toilet and throwing up at the same time for almost a  hour & shaking afterwards. It felt like cramps & food poisoning. Could this be a sign of pre labor. I heard that your system cleans itself before going into labor to make room in the birth canal. Is this true & has this happened to anyone else? What was the outcome?

This just happened to me too, but I might just be sick, since my husbandhas the same thing a few days ago. I'm only 36 weeks though. It could be pre labour. When you start having regular contractions is the only way you'll know for sure.
