How long does epidural lasts?
I am getting induced tomorrow and getting an epidural 1st thing in the morning when I get there because they need to remove a remaining cerclage stitch and it hurts too much to have it removed without the epidural. Then after its removed the induction process will start. My question is how long can the epidural last? I am afraid that when it's pushing time the effect will be gone.
I asked my modwife when the best time to get an epidural incase I decide to get it and she said when dilated to about 5-6. But I don't know how long it last. I would think that may be to early. Ask your doctor he/she should be able to tell you something. Goodluck and hope everything goes smoothly
