We aren't circumsizing our LO. there is really no medical necessity for it. Just about personal preference really

I have 2 boys and they are not circumcised. My husband and I didlots of research and decided we didn't thibk it was worth it. Its considered cosmetic surgery and its unnecessary. When we were researching it before our first was born I mentioned it to my grandparents and my grandpa told me he wasn't circumcised. He is almost 80 now and has never had any problems at all.

I was going to because my brothers and father were. So i thought it was normal. My partner is not. After speaking with my midwife I decided not too for a few reasons. It's not very common anymore, they don't do it at my hospital and I would need to find someone who will do the procedure, doing it can cause more infection earlier on, You can teach your child to wash their body correctly you don't need to cut it off. Something could go wrong in unneccesary surgery, They are born with it so it is natural and a part of their body, It will hurt them. And lastly I wouldn't do it to a girl even if that was what everyone did and said it was more hygenic giving the child less chance of infection.. That's just my take on it now after all my research and discussions with people. But of course like everything it's completely up to the parents :)

My fiancé and I will be circumcising our son because we feel it would make things easier when changing a diaper and such. I also agree you should just do what you think is right and comfortable.

We're not circumsizing our boy when he's born either. I figured if it's really that important  to him he can decide  to have it done when he's an adult... which what adult male would want to have t

Hey there, we are choosing not to circumcise, much to the dismay of my parents. I wanted to very early in my pregnancy but my husband was able to build a very strong case for not doing so. (Apparently it's usually the opposite!) I am very confident and happy with our choice. There is no religious need for us nor do we see any medical benefit. HOWEVER it is 100% up to you! Do what feels right for you and your family. Don't let anyone else pressure you into a decision. If you do decide to circumcise there are awesome tips online for keeping the area clean to avoid infection. Good luck with your son!
