Inducing tomorrow!!

I was induced with my 1st, but this time around they are actually needing to thin my cervix. For some reason, this scares me.  What do they normally do here? I've tried things to get me going but my body is just not having it. I'll be 40w5d when they induce.

I just had it done. They gave me a mizo (sp?) Pill every 4 hrs for 5 rounds. Then they brought me to labor and delivery and gave me the pitocen. The pills arent bad they just thin you out

Being induced with my 1st was a dream. Went smooth as ever. Just have heard negative reactions to the thinning process. So of course now I'm just over thinking it. Thank you! I hope it goes as planned.

They softened my cervix with my first as well. You usually go in a night before and they insert medication it's not painful at all so don't worry. You might feel some contractions through the night but based on my experience and a friend of mine who just went through the same thing the contractions weren't that strong. In the morning your cervix should be ready and that's when they start pitocin and everyone reacts to that differently. Good luck mama
