9 month stats

James just had couple days ago his 9 month check and no shots woot, woot, woot. So happy about it.
He is doing well
weight 20.5 pounds and 29 3/4 inches long. so 61 % weight and 90 % height.
For the last week he has been sleeping through the night, goes to bed at 6:30 until 6 am next mornig like a miracle, we tried some sleep training techniques but did not work so we gave up and I kept rocking him and doing what was best bc I was getting nuts with tryig to "fix" everything and now as a miracle he just turned around and is doing great. Still taking 2 naps daily from 1-2 hours.
He is eating well but not drinking much formula anymore, his pediatrician says that as long as he takes around 18 ounces should be o.k anyone else has any more info about formula intake?
How are your LO doing, love to hear from you guys.
Tons of love,
James and Maria

Hey there well we had Jeremy's 9 mth check-up and my big boy is 25 1/2 lbs and 30 1/4 inches long. He has 4 teeth. My Dr is not overly concerned about his lack of talking he mentioned to me statistic wise some babies don't talk until almost 18 mos so I guess with my older 3 they were just early talkers. Jeremy's does however have to see a pediatric opthamologist just to make sure his eyes are ok. The dr said his eyes are the right shape etc he just wants to cover his tracks and rule out vision as being a cause of anything. I think he's fine but it can't hurt to double check. So my boy is finally sitting up and and almost crawling so that's good. He is all boy he goes right for the clicker now..LOL. Well he's a healthy lil boy and we have not heard back about his blood work so I guess no news is good news..for now. I'm so happy for everyone..
Take care and hugs,

Medina will be 11 months on the 9th June so our next check up here in Germany will be next months when she turns 1. About 2 weeks ago she was about 77 cm (30.3 inches), weight I'm not sure but I'm guessing 19-19.5 pounds. She really suffered with her teething and has had a cold twice within the last 6 weeks. Plus she had to acclimatise to the Australian weather and now back to the German weather.

At 9 - 10 months, Medina could point to objects, says bye and light (in Arabic), babbles without end, crawls in three different styles (army, a half-army crawl, normal all fours), pulls up, cruises, claps, drinks from a straw, eats now finally well and 3 times a day (she loves custard and yoghurt), is extremely active and a happy baby but very cranky when she doesn't get her own way or is tired, loves to throw things alot, hates the word no (lol, don't we all), and absolutely LOVES Winnie the Pooh and cats and dogs. She goes crazy when she sees them. With sleep, she doesn't sleep through the night but has been waking up less, she usually wakes up and then falls back to sleep, she naps twice a day and I still breastfeed (although I just recovered from mastitis).

Lilly is only 16lbs and 24inches long! Ped said she is healthy and thriving and i shouldn't be concerned about her stats - but i am. she seems to be so much smaller than all the babies in my mother's group. Ped said it's because she's so active and has been for a while. She sat at 5 months and crawled just before six months. she's walking the furniture and is on the go all time! She's a happy baby and is only just starting to have day time naps longer than 20 minutes. Nighttimes are still a pain but i choose to still feed her during the night as i believe she need it. She will nine months next week.

Joel just turned 9 months today!! He is getting so big.  He weighed in at 20 lbs and was 29 1/2 inches long 50% for weight and 90% for height.  He is as healthy as a horse.  He is crawling all over the place and pulling himself up on all the furniture.  He is cruising along the furniture too and we think its not going to be long before he is walking.  He likes to be independent.  He is eating 3 meals a day and pretty much on total table foods.  The doctor told us today that we have no need for baby food anymore that he can eat whatever we are eating except for eggs and peanut butter.  I am so excited to stop the baby food bc it is expensive and he likes what we are eating more.  Joel loves to play peek a boo and swing.  He hasn't learned to clap yet but I am sure that he will learn that soon.  He has started to take longer naps in the morning about 1 1/2 to 2 hours and then an hour in the afternoon.  I have a feeling he may be starting to cut out his afternoon naps.  He gets up between 6 and 7 in the morning and goes to bed at 7 pm.

Hi all....!! Hunter is 9 months will be 10 months May 8th. Growing so fast.
Hunter went for his 9 month check up and he weighed in at 25 pounds, 29.5 inches and healthy as a bee, we are still nursing plan on going until 1 year. While I'm at work he has two 8 ounces bottles and then I nurse him after I get home from work, dinner time and then before he goes to bed, so he is taking in about 25-30 ounces a day he loves his milk, he is eating solids and loves them, his favorite that we just started is meats smells gross to mommy but he loves it. He has his milk before any solids, in the morning I'll nurse him before I leave for work, then he will get his bottle at 9:30am along with cereal, and then at lunch time he will get 8 ounces again, and a veggie & Fruit, then some snacks through out the day, he loves mum-mums and pinwheels *they dissolve so quick*, then when I get home I nurse then feed dinner, he will eat his jar of meat, veggie, fruit.  He naps normally 2-3 times a day depending on what is happening, normally for 1-2 hours sometimes they are just normal cat naps for about 20 mins or so. He isn't crawling yet, but seems like any minute he is going to get up and go, he does pull himself up and stands while holding onto something, I honestly think he will be walking before crawling, He has a total of 8 teeth.. Yeah I can't believe it...biggie boy!!! He is such a wonderful baby, never really fussy at all except for his teeth but even then he does well with them coming through, so content. Smiling all the time. He has been sleeping through the night since he was about 3 months old, he goes down for bed between 8-8:30 and sleeps until about 8:30-9:00am. He is babbling all kinds of stuff, normally its dad, dadadada, ba ba ba ba ba, he just started saying mommom... love it. He loves still jumping in his jumperoo, and loves his new ball pit that we got him, he throws all the balls out of it so cute...!!!!!

I'm going to take Medina to the paediatrician when we get back to Berlin next week (let's hope so given the volvano!!!) so I will post some stats up too. But she's been pointing since about 4 weeks and clapping as well. It's funny when she points, she's soooo cheeky.

Maria---realistically she is ready for her nap within 2 hours of waking.  Afternoon nap yesterday I pushed her wake time to 3  hours (equalled one cranky baby) and she napped for 45 min.  I am going to try this for a few days to see if she'll sleep longer but am not going to push it.  I guess I can't complain as she is a great night sleeper.  It makes it more difficult to do longer, more fun and messy crafts with Anika.

Cash is 24lbs 6 oz.  - my chunky butt!  He takes between 18-24oz of formula and my pedi says that a minimum of 18oz is best.  He loves food and eats whatever we eat - when we eat healthy that is.  Otherwise I will make him his own food.  He takes two naps a day.  Each one is an hour and a half.  He is sleeping through the night - finally - I rock for about 5 - 10 minutes to soothe him and get him drowsy and then lay him down awake and he will cry for like 30 seconds and then go to sleep.  He goes down about 8 and wakes up between 7 and 7:30.  He is army crawling everywhere and loves to pull up. He  has figured out temper tantrums as well!  He will throw his head back and yell!  We have been trying to redirect him on that...not so fun.  Still loves baths and eating best of all!
Glad you are all doing well!
Lotsa Love, Chari and Cash

Joel started to recently not even take 18 oz of formula and my pediatrician told me that he should be eating at least 24 oz per day so they told me to offer more formula right before lunch, dinner and any snacks that he gets.  So what I do is I make an extra bottle and split it between dinner and lunch.

Lochlyn is 8.5 months. He is about 22 lbs and 31 inches long. He is sleeping through the night (has been for a long time now) I put him down between 9 and 10 and he wakes up between 7- 9:30. I have year long mat leave and HATE mornings so he stays up a little later and I get to sleep in a little longer. He isn't ready for bed before 9 usually.
He still naps a lot! He usually has a nap in the morning between 45 min- 1 hour and in the afternoon he will have a 2-3 hour nap.
He still loves his bottles and straws, usually has 24 ounces of formula a day. His pediatrician seems happy with the amount. Five bottles a day seemed like too much when I said that was how much he was having but four seems good LoL!  He is on all foods now and starting solids (I'm a paranoid freak so it's very slow LoL)  He doesn't stomach cereals well so he gets meat twice a day.
He doesn't crawl but will sit on his bum and push himself around. He can stand on his own holding onto furniture (or his favorite, holding onto the bars of the deck)

Sasha- so far we are doing better, like you said you can't force a baby to sleep so I just started to taking easier and boom he is doing well. Sleeping through the night and taking naps (he takes two)
I hear you about cat napping James did that a while ago, how long is her wake up time? Is hard to try to keep them awake when tey are tired and wiggly, James used to be exhausted, so I will take him for a quick drive he will cat nap for a bit and thn back home he will awake for 2- hours and then back to his second nap then he will sleep better.

Iliana is 8.5 months and weighs 20 pounds.....not sure about her length.  She is crawling everywhere and can now stand up on her own holding onto furniture no problem.  Still no teeth.  She is in bed 7:45ish pm and wakes around 7am.  For the most part, she is still taking 3 naps as she cat naps.  I am lucky if she sleeps 30 min each nap.  Within 2 hours she is exhausted and wanting to sleep again.  Doesn't matter what I do, she gets cranky and needs to go down.  My MIL has been on me about it as she thinks Iliana should be down to 2 naps.  I agree with her but only if she would nap for a minimum of an hour each time.  If she wasn't cranky and asking for a nap then I wouldn't worry and would keep her up longer.  I don't see a need to force a baby to stay awake hours longer just so she can only nap 2 hours a day.  Any thoughts from others???
She is only drinking about 18 oz. of formula a day.  She doesn't drink much anymore but still loves to have her night bottle.  She is eating most foods (excluding meats) but I still worry she isn't getting enough.  I have a dr. appointment for myself on Wed. so I will ask my doc then.  I do plan on weening her off the bottle and formula at 12 months.

Maria--do what works for you and James when it comes to nights.  I know that rocking may no be ideal but if it works then that's what you need to do to maintain your sanity.  Hopefully, his sleeping will continue for you.
