Oooooh, chocolate milk!! Yummmm! We were wandering around Target on Saturday, and I became ridiculously thirsty and chugged a chocolate milk like there was no tomorrow... The whole bottle... my son only got one sip before i downed it. I felt like a total jerk, lol. So I bought him some shoes.
OMG, his feet went from 12 to 2 in like A WEEK. I'm not happy about this. That's his most expensive week yet. ('Cept for maybe the week he was born...)
ok, that was random. AP!! You will have a much more productive bedrest in the florida sunshine. I think this should be discussed with your practitioner. ;-)
Omg jess I wish I could. I'm not supposed to leave the house never mind fly down to florida but it's very tempting. I will when I feel good and I'm not kidding. i would love to meet ya and hang on the beach with our babies! I'm glad you are having a worry free pg. Really I couldn't be happier!
Big hugs,
AP
Ok that is too funny, that is EXACTLY how I feel my baby move, substitute the grape juice for chocolate milk lmao.
anytime, girl.
but i'm not coming to hang out with you. you have to come to me. i freeze for no one. wouldn't you rather hang out on the beach??? git yer butt down to florida!
Jess- You are too funny! Jump through your pc and come hang out with me I bet you could make me laugh for hours. I could use that right about now. the thing is my bladder gets too full it hurts from all the uti's I have had. I'm finally in the clear and don't have one now. I will try it though I just want to feel my lil man.I can't feel mine yet but you are a week ahead of me so maybe that is why. I know mine is okay. Every u/s he's jumping everywhere and he is long too. I don't know I'm not going to worry i have enough to worry about! I just hope he's not getting sick now. Thanks for the info I will ttyl..
Hugs,
AP
I swear!! oh wait, no, i promise, not swear! lol
Yeah, rose, when i hear everyone talking about a "flutter", i keep wondering what i'm missing---then it hit me, that's what i'm feeling it's just that the visualization of "flutter" doesn't match up in my head. Octopus just came to me the other day, I was sitting on the couch and felt it, laughed and told my partner it feels like a little octopus in there, movement everywhere.
AP---whazzap sistah! Hey, what has helped me feel it this time is letting my bladder get full, and then sitting on the couch and kinda "slouching" down (not laying, but leaned back and not sitting up straight), and letting my legs stretch out on the floor in front of you. It sorta pushes your uterus out to the forefront so that you can isolate the sensations you feel in it. I don't feel the baby much during the day, but at night, after I put my son down and have been chillin for a bit, I eat something or chug some grape juice (omg i LOOOOVE it) and within a few minutes the baby gets active. usually between 10 and midnight are my best times, been going on for a week or so now, little stronger each night.
The most effective energy boost---or at least what seems to fire up my little octopus best---is a apple with a little peanut butter. the baby will get really active, it's great.
ooh! lol it's wiggling around right now
Jess- I'm having the opposite with my 1st I felt him at 12 wks it was like little tickles almost in my lowere abdomen with this one nothing and I'm almost 16 wks but he has a hb so I'm not sure what is going on. Weird.
bbygirl- When my babies kick it feels like a thump and it will go from side to side. The further along you are you can actually see them kicking your belly or if they have a elbow poking you or a foot or a knee it's so cute. Have you felt anything yet? If not join the club!
jess- suure it was....wink wink!
I agree it more like a little octopus, funny, I never thought of it that way but that is a much better description than "flutter"
ok, just so no one thinks i'm completely vulgar----the word they censored was c r a p, not $ h i +...
sorry!
it takes longer to feel the first time around usually, so no worries :-) if you think it's gas, it probably is, but there are ways to tell the difference and be on the lookout (or feel-out) for those first definite "holy ****, that was my baby!" moments. And once you know for sure that it is baby and not gas, it will become easier and easier to tell them apart.
one of the primary differences i note is that gas is an isolated point---even if it's moving, it's one point that moves (sometimes painfully!!)
however, when it's the baby, it's like a little octopus in there, and it's this "scrambled" movement, not just an isolated point moving through my bowel.
i can see why people call it a "flutter", but to me it's more like a series of fluttering "thumps", if that helps. when i think of flutter, i think of butterflies and their wings, and that's not what this feels like, lol. that's why i say it's more akin to a tiny little octopus.
I'm almost 14 wks and im pretty sure that i've felt the flutters. I'm already showing. This is my 2nd child.
thanks that helps alot.
because what i was feeling was kinda like gas bubbles like it was rolling on the side of my stomach. so i guess im feeling the baby move the dr told me that i wouldnt feel it move until around the time i find out what it is. which is only two weeks away. im so excieddd. im 15w 5 days. && i think im finally starting to show a little bit. so im very excited because this is my frist pregnancy && im only 18 so. its all new to me && thanks again.
The first flutter feels like just that, a flutter. Have you ever had heart palpitations? Where it feels like your heart is turning in circles? It feels a lot like that but only in your belly.
Sometimes I feel tapping and just now actually, I felt like the baby was doing summersults (sp) It still isn't very strong but it is still such a great feeling. I am 16 weeks 2 days by the way.
your first movements will feel like little gas bubbles. I felt # 2 move around probably 13wks
