If I want any diaper help from my husband they better be disposible so I have decided to go with the Huggies brand but not sure which diaper. Looks as if everyone recommends naturals. I also like the tip of cloth diapers as a burp rag-thanks!
NO, i can't see myself using cloth and having to wash diapers. Plus once i go back to work my BF will be a stay at home Dad for awhile and i KNOW he woudln't be able to handle it. But i definitely want to look into the huggies naturals.
I dont know anyone using the Flip diapers but its made by cottonbabies and I heard good things about them. After talking to some of my girlfriends about it, it seems like BumGenius and Smartipants are the way to go. A little more expensive, but they look totally worth it and really you still save money vs disposable. They like the fuzzibuns too, but the bumgenius were thicker and seemed to last longer. Smartipants are just so cool b/c you dont have to take out the insert to wash them.
Lol me too, that's awesome!
I'm gonna have to look at the Huggies Naturals, I do like the idea of using cloth diapers as burp cloths.
I got a sample of the newborn Huggies naturals! They are super cute!!!! We are buying those for if the power or washer goes out and maybe for traveling. So glad they finally made diapers with no harsh chemicals in them that don't cost and arm and a leg!
ah fooey I'll just post so people can see which ones I mean..lol

grrrr my mind is turned off today. what I meant to say was "go buy those packs of NON-DISPOSABLE" ones, lol
but for first time mommies, go buy those packs of disposable diapers at target or wal-mart....to use as burp-cloths!!! they make the best burp-cloths IMO, better than the thinner ones with pretty designs, and they come in packs of like 10 :).
Huggies natural are the best alternative to cloth IMO...they're made mostly out of cotton and feel just like cloth, but you don't have to worry about washing them (yeck!). I wanted to do cloth originally but for convenience sake, I'm glad we stuck with disposable with DD. Gonna go that route again this time around, and probably use the huggies naturals again...they really are fantastic.
I've always wanted to but I just don't think I could do it now. Our house doesn't have a washer/dryer that's easily accesable so my husband does the laundry on the days we can. And I don't think a pile of stinky diapers would be good lol. So were not going to. If we had a daiper service around here that would change things, but we don't..so disposable diapers for us...well the baby.
I have seen the flip system but not heard how it is.
Go buy new at Cottom Babies.com, Green Mt babies.com (all small letters) and also diapre swappers has used and new for sale but I would nto buy any wothout a picture to make sure they are nice and stain free!! They have a forum to reseach the types and ltos of interesting things on there.
Meadow that is funny! Beleive me after 3 kids it smells the same and the same mess no matter what! It is not for everyone and I have never done it exclusivly yet so I will let you know how it goes:)
I thought about using cloth to save money....but after I had to change my 6 month old nephew's diaper last week, and the mess in their triggered my vomit reflex and I couldn't get it in the trash fast enough. So now I am not sure I can handle cloth....although I would love to use cloth.
I was thinking of doing the Flip system. I have heard good things about it.
I do have to add that I got a Huggies NAturaul in the mail and it is the cutiest little thing!!!! I think I will be using those when I travel.
