My dr also did every 2 weeks and now as 36wks + he is seeing ne weekly.
My little guy is also a night person and like you Melka my heartburn is so bad and i've been having the stabbing pain down below from him pressuring me down there that its harder to sleep so i don't miss out on it.
Wonderful on the 32 weeks.... I notice my little one moves throughout the night - if I could fall asleep I would miss it,., but since my heartburn and rib pain are so bad ..sleep in not something I am getting!!!
Hi All,
Thanks for all the replies.
Melka76, i completed by 32weeks today.
Now my next appointment is on 7th of July. Yesterday i felt some movements :) and i hope my baby will move regularly so that i can stay calm.
Thanks alot once again and remember me in your prayers.
My sister has 4 kids and with everyone she went to the hospital because they stopped moving, they alternated cold and warm packs on her tummy till they woke up and started moving, there was no problem they just wanted to wake them up to reassure her. so perhaps you can try that if they still don't want to give you and ultrasound.
im 37 weeks and still going every two weeks, my pregnancy is healthy and everything is perfect so unless anything changes (swelling, cramping, bloody show) I will continue to go every two weeks.
I am almost 34 weeks and go to the OB 2x a week, next month @ 36 I start going every week like Atia_Julii.
It sounds like all clinics and docs do it differently. I started going twice a week as soon as I hit the 3rd trimester at 28 weeks. Now at 36 weeks, it's every week for me.
Until 36 weeks I see the dr once a month, unless I have a concern. Then every week...
I believe a normal pregnancy once you hit 32 weeks your OB/GYN sees you every 2 weeks then at 36 weeks every week.... how many weeks are you Fiz1810?
I am 34 weeks with my 3rd son and for all my pregnancies, once you are that far along, I went every 2 weeks and then the last month, once a week. If you do not feel right, go to the ER. I have problems with my doctors this last pregnancy taking my situation seriously, they want to act like everything is okay, and usually it is. But I think it's better to be safe than sorry. A mother's instict needs to be taken more seriously, especially if you already lost a child. Good Luck! I do kick counts all the time to make sure he is still moving and if I were to not feel him move 10x in a hour, I will be going to the ER no matter what the doctors think or say! It does help to drink cold water or something sugary and lie down. Take care!
Hi All,
Yesterday we went to the Dr. and after waiting 5 hrs, Dr. checked the heartbeat of the baby with the doppler and she said the baby is fine. I asked her that am not feeling movements from last couple of days, so can you please suggest an ultrasound.
She refused my request and told me to be patient as the baby is growing so sometimes he doesnt have much space to move. I wasn't very much satisfied with this justification but i can't do much about it.
One more question from all of you, once you are in your 8th month how often you are consulting your dr. ? As mine told me to come after 1 month, but my friends dr. saw her after 2 weeks once the 8th month started.
Please i request all of you to pray for my baby's health as i already lost one :(
Good luck and thanks alot everyone.
Hope to have much more replies.
i was wondering the same please let us know
So how is baby- what did the dr say?
GO to the dr!! Odds are that your little one is okay..but that happened with my daughter and we found out she was in distress and had to be delivered immediatly. It's better to be safe than sorry.
I would call your doctor straight away. He will be able to tell you if you should go in to be checked or not..
Drink cold water and lay down on left side - if still no movement in an hour I would go in to have it checked out. You are suppose to have it checked if you feel less than 10 movements in an hour. Baby could be sleeping, but drinking or eating and lying down should wake them up...
