Thank you for responding! You must let me know how your next u/s goes. The internet articles are what really scared me. I'm not sure exactly when mine went away. There was no trace of it when they checked earlier this week. I'm sure everything will be fine. My doctor has seen this in a lot of women, so it's not uncommon. You both made me feel better. Thank you so much for your kind words :) Good luck and keep us posted!!
Thank you, I am too! :) I'm so glad you're not having any more complications, best feeling ever. It's so nice to be off of the restrictions, that's for sure!
So sorry....just saw your most recent post...didn't see it b4 I gave my "two cents"...LOL
I agree with 30 something about not reading too much online. I started researching online after I was diagnosed with SCH and was so scared that my husband practically banned me from the computer because I was so worried from what I was reading. I was diagnosed with SCH at 9 weeks after a fall. They said it could have been caused by fall, or may have been there before. I was put on bedrest for a few days, and then they did another u/s. I was told that as long as it was shrinking, that was a great sign. They will probably just keep an eye on it for a while. While they put me on bedrest for a few days, they did say that there is no evidence that this will make much of a difference. However, I know I felt better know that we were doing all we could.
I will go in at 20 weeks for another u/s....hopefully, it will have dissolved. Like, 30something said, the spotting can be a result of the SCH bleeding out. You need to be very mindful (from what I was told) of severe cramping or sharp pains. BUT....and I don't remember the exact percentage I was told by radiologist, I think he said at least 20% of women get them.
These are all things I learned with a 1st trimester SCH....might be different for 2nd...not sure. Make sure you are doing absolutely NO heavy lifting. I was told no more than 15 pounds. I don't vacuum anymore either...my DH does it for me.
Hope some of this helps....I'm thinking of you! I remember getting news similar to yours...I know it's scary!!!!!!!!!!!! (30something helped me feel better, too...LOL)
No none at all! Everything has been fine and I had us from 5weeks 2 days every two weeks till 15 weeks due to my history of problems. I have been great and am on NO restrictions at all! So glad yours is gone!! HORRAY!!
A little girl huh:) Now you can go shopping and pick out bedding! I did not see you post and have been thing of ya and how you were! I know how scared I was and it is just supposed to be a time of happiness not worry. So glad everything is better!
Thank you! That made me feel better. I think I bled it out a few weeks ago because when they checked yesterday, everything was fine. I had no Placenta Previa or SCH. I was so relieved. They told me the baby is a girl, too :) I'm so happy to be off of Light Limited Duty Status and off of pelvic rest!! It's great. I really took it easy for the past few weeks, that really helped.
Thank you so much for your words, they held me over until the appointment. I guess I was worrying over nothing. Oh, and the bleeding I had at the beginning was like what you had. Have you had any issues since then?
I had one at the begining of my pregnancy. I was so scared!!! Here is what I was told,
They can get bigger or stay the same
they can bleed out or disolve over time
they usually go away by 24 weeks along
If they are not near the placenta they just watch the size of them
If they are near the placenta and you are far along yes that is placenta previa
Glad yours is not, neither was mine!
The further you make it the higher chances you have to carry to term
You must be on bed rest and full pelvic rest during this time!
Let me know if you have any questions about that.
There is nothing they can do besides rest but that helps tramendously
It is OK for you to bleed and you can do this for days like you said, I always went to the er when I did though! Mine disovled by 8 weeks around there. They do not know waht causes them except for that the baby in the begining might of started to detach then stopped. That is what they said about mine. I know it is scsary and I wish I could point you to someone who had one in later trimesters but I do not know of anyone. Maybe you can search on here for second trimester SCH. You might find someone who has posted then you can send them a message about it! Don't read to much online as it states the worst cases as well! It scared me more then talking with others in my shoes. Let us know aht happens at the us! I will be praying and just keep resting! I would bleed, be on bed rest, then get up and I would bleed again. it was up and down. Bright red blood too. Well take care and I hope I have answered at least some of your questions!
