Doppler and heartbeat

I have been finding that since baby is moving around, it is getting harder to find his heartbeat! I know he is doing ok because I feel him kicking and moving... And more times than not he kicks or pinches the probe away, but it still concerns me. Even at me last ob appointment we heard it for a whole 1/2 a second before we couldn't find it anymore! She wasn't worried... But I still do! Anyone else experience this?

this is why i haven not bought a doppler, bc any malfunction WILL drive me nuts...sorry i havent experienced it but try not going crazy with that thing it can really stress you out and the baby...

I found that at first too. I used to find it and it would last between 2-5 seconds and then i couldn't find it again. I wouldn't worry too much but try not to use your doppler too often as it can stress the baby out. My ultrasound tech told me to only use it once a week. The baby doesnt know that they should be cooperative so tend not to keep still for too long!!!
