You said you want the electric, but if u can't afford it why not get the manual its way cheaper.
I heard the hospitals rent pumps and somw give it....I have Emblem Health HIP insurance i called monday and got the prescription sent to the vendor today and i was told its on its way. The Medela electric...so grateful one less thing to purchase.
I called. I have united health care under medic aid in Florida. They said they DO NOT cover it. One of the few states that opted out of covering breast pumps. I don't think they'd lie to me about it. I'm going to check amazon.com out.

Breast pumps are now required to be covered by insurances due to the affordable care act. The only loop hole is if your insurance is grandfathered. My insurance covers breast pumps (thankfully electric) if a script is written by a doctor and I get it through a medical supplier. I just have to wait until I deliver until they Will cover it.
You can also buy new tubing and a set of all the parts that were used/touched by the previous owner. It's pretty cheap.
I have always rented a pump from the hospital, I think it was like $20-30 per month.
