Any mommies find out they are positive for strep b? I am really concerned about passing it onto my baby, do you have any input or advice?

I had it with my son they gave me antibiotics but not 2 doses so they kept me in over night for obs if you are anyway in hospital with baby for at least 24 hours dont worry, they will keep an eye on the baby. Try not worry and stress about it (much easier said than done). Good luck with it all!

My older sister was positive with both her pregnancies and she nor my niece and nephews had any problems.

I did mine at 36 weeks still no result from my gyna I'm so annoyed.

I came back positive for it. My Dr. Told me just make sure I come to the hospital within the hour of labor starting so they can start me on the antibiotics ...they give you two doses where im at and keep you and baby in hospital for 48 hours after delivery instead of just over night. I'm more worried about which antibiotic they're going to give me...I'm allergi c to a lot of antibiotics.

I was positive with one of my pregnancies. They give you an iv antibiotic during labor so the baby doesn't contract it. No biggie, its fairly common.

I'm negative this time, but have been positive with other pregnancies. I really wouldn't worry about it. With my first pregnancy I had him so quick they didn't even have enough time to give me the iv antibiotic and they weren't worried at all about it. Made me wonder why they make such a big deal about it.

I already found out I'm positive yesterday. I am just worried after seeing that if it is contracted it can be fatal. I know there's only 1 to 2 percent chance. But still scares me ya know
