To my knowledge herpes is AROUND openings, like lips, vagina, anus, eyes, you don't get them IN your mouth, vagina, anus or eyes.  I dont have herpes, of any kind, but I'm pretty sure what you have is not that.  Herpes is misdiagnosed so often..

BonitaMichelle my hubby has oral herpes and also gets them on his tounge. I get all those sypmtoms tinglys itchy feeling before an outbreak. And i recently had a fever few days ago. Labor and delivery nurse said fevers and cold tend to start an outbreak

I have no clue for remedies for the tongue. But be sure to let your doc know about it so you can take medication for it the last weeks/months so the baby doesn't get it at birth. I try to avoid stress as much as possible since that is a huge outbreak factor for me.
