Induction (worth it) ?

I have been thinking to myself lately if an induction is completely necessary or not. I have an induction date set up for this wednesday and i will be 40+5.. Do you ladies think i should just wait it out atleast a bit longer to 41 weeks ? Or just go for it not knowing how fast or slow the induction process will take in getting me in real labor mode.. I feel like my baby wants to come really late. Im 40+3 today and no signs of labor except for slight contractions here and there esp after sex ...

Aww ^^ thats nice to hear.. I have been hearing horror stories online about being induced and how its unnatural and how much it hurts more than waiting for your body to do it the natural way

With my first baby I got indices ( for no medical reason ) dr just kind of urges it on me and I agreed, well I ended up being in labor for 23 hours. With my second, I waited until my body was actually ready, I gave birth at 40 weeks 1 day & it was sooooo much easier!! I was in labor for 8 hours & honestly enjoyed it this time.

Hello^^^. I'm in the same situation as you are. The idea of getting induced at 40 weeks was very scary, but my doctor said wait a few days. Next apt is Tuesday and I will be 40 weeks and 5 days. I'm hoping things will speed up a little quicker in terms of me dilating and having more contractions.

Good luck! Keep us posted☺
