My doctor checked me at 36 weeks. I'm 37 week tomorrow and I'm sure she will check again every week until I go into labor

You want to be checked as little as possible for risk of infection especially when in labor if your water has broke....but my doc also does not check unless asked or they have a reason like contractions.

My doctor isn't checking me until 38 weeks which is Thursday, she says checking frequently so early for no reason can attract infections.

Every doctor is differnt.  My doctor only checked me because I told him how much pain I was in and I wanted to know if I was dilating. I'm 35 weeks, he doesn't check unless he sees a reason to but u can always ask your doctor. Some start checking around 30 weeks from what I've heard
