Baby decided to make an early appearance today!
My due date was July 22 for my dear son but lost mucus plug last night around 6:30 p.m. I ended up coming to the hospital with contractions but was sent back home because they were too far a part and I was only dialated 3 cm (this was 10 p.m. yesterday), I returned at 6:15 this morning with contractions every 5 minutes and ended up being 7 cm dialted. I ended up delivering my son the old fashioned vaginal way with no epidural or pain medicine at 8:42 a.m. We named him Gage Ryan, he is 6 pounds 11 ounces and 19 1/2 inches long and super healthy even though he was born at 37 weeks 2 days. All the pain I went through was worth it
I orginally had thought that my water broke because I went to get out of the car and felt a huge gush that soaked through my underwear and shorts. Well when I got to the hospital they checked me and told me my water was in tact but it was bulging pretty badly, they told me I probably just peed on myself but I know what pee is and knew that's not what it was. So I went back home already feeling strong contractions and they got worse over the next several hours. So I spent all night awake because I could not sleep and it finally got to a point I couldn't stand it anymore, the cramps in my lower back were so bad. I got back to the hospital and they went to check my cervix again and as soon as the nurse began the check my water broke and then the pain intensified even more. I had orginally said I wanted to do a vaginal delivery with epidural, I had labored at home for almost the entire time so by the time I got there I didn't get the option for pain medicine. It was time to have him and there was no time for any type of medicine. It was honestly the worst pain I have ever felt in my entire life but I only had to push for maybe 10 minutes before he arrived and as soon as I seen him I forgot all about the pain! If I had to do it all over again I would no question asked. We spent 2 days in the hospital and are now at home resting comfortable and doing great!
Congrats! Today is my husbands birthday too. My due date is the 28th but hoping our little girl will come early, cant wait to meet her! Also dr has said Ive been on target for babys growth throughout my pregnancy, this wks appt he said Im measuring big? Enjoy your little guy and congrats again!
Yay! Congratulations! I'm hoping my baby boy comes tonight or tomorrow, I'm only 37 weeks + 6 days but I'm having Braxton Hicks and bad back pain. I want my dad to be there when his first grand son is born but he's leaving Sunday to New York. I'm due July 19th :P
I lost my mucus plug this morning! I've been having tightening in my stomach and major back pains ever since. I may be having a 4th of July baby. Congratulations on your little man. Hopefully I will be holding my little lady by this time tomorrow:-)
