Watch your diet too. My doctor recommended no salt, low carbs, and no tomato sauce. Also, stay off of your feet as much as possible. If you're working and have other kids, I know this can be almost impossible. My doctor ended up pulling me out of work for my last month because I was so swollen. Since then, my swelling is gone, and I'm sleeping and eating better. Watch your blood pressure too! Good luck!
Elevation is about all you can do, also get a cold damp rag/towel and place it over your feet while they are elevated. That's what helps me
I have found when they start to feel swollen. I have to lay down for 10 minutes with them elevated. This helps to keep them down a bit.
