Yesterday I went swimming, had sex, walked around a few different grocery stores, ate a spicy dinner, bounced on my ball for 30 minutes and than ate a bowl of ice cream and watched some tv. During the show I stated getting contractions 3-5 minutes apart. I let them go on fire an hour, got up and took a shower, called the on call Dr who said to come in so we did. Sat on the monitor for an hour (or had now been 3 1/2 hours of these consistent contractions getting stronger)and they send me home! I was only dialate to a 1.5 and 70% effaced which is a tiny bit better than at my last appointment but I guess it's not enough to stay. :(

I was only dilated to a 1.5 and they don't start pitocin until 3. My doctor hasn't even mentioned inducing. I have an appointment tomorrow (the day before my due date) and will talk to her about it then. I did some research and I think I am having prodromal labor (basically you go in and out of labor and this can last WEEKS!) :P

I laughed when i read your post, only because i can't imagine doing all those things. I keep arguing with the hubby all he keep saying is lets try sex. Am like you're so selfish am uncomfortable and we tried, for his sake,and nothing happened. Today i walked home from the doctor which took 2hrs between walking and resting. I wasn't trying to induced i just wanted to prove to myself i could still walk a good distance. I don't believe any of that stuff works. I believe its usually a coincidence and God's timing. Am left aching all over. Wishing everyone all the best am here IMPATIENTLY waiting myself.

Im surprised they have not put you on pitocin yet. Did you tell them you just wanted to wait it out naturally ? I hope all goes well for you. Wait it out if you can ! Patience hunnie !

My due date isn't until the 30th so I still have a few days. They gave me a pill for pain and another to help me sleep. I was able to sleep through the night and had very sporadic contractions throughout the day yesterday but nothing last night or this morning. I was really hoping they would pick up, not slow down :/

I think it depends on the Dr. I had always heard that you probably won't be admitted unless you're further dilated but when I went in I was only at a 1. However my water had already broke and I was almost completely effaced so maybe that made a difference.

I've read some of your posts before.. aren't you already past your due date?? July is almost over anyway they should have at least kept you and pit you on pitocin.  My water broke at 37 weeks and I wouldn't dilate further than 1 cm so they started the pitocin a few hours later. Good luck to you hopefully not much longer

Same thing happened to me! Now I am just waiting for the contractions to get stronger I guess...
