You should go to er and tell them your concern because your 16 weeks or so and don't know how things are . They can't deny you . They will give you an ultrasound or go to community health center and let them know your situation I'm sure they will help.

My Medicaid issues are not completely worked out yet, but I found that as soon as I turned in most documents my general Medicaid benefits kicked in. So even though every thing is not figured out yet I've been assured that my bills will be covered and sorted.

So first things first is to try and sort out the medicaid/insurance issues because it can feel like it takes forever to get sorted. If you haven't yet go to your state insurance website and set up a profile. Ie: nystateofhealth.Com then call the help line, average I'd say this will be at least 2 hours, wait on hold they don't call back in a timely manner. If possible gather your tax info from 2015 and 2014 and if you have a list of doctors youve seen and liked or would like to try. On the help line they should be able to get you sorted and either set with medicaide or a plan. If your stuck with medicaide make sure you choose a company to back it like affinity or another major company/presence in your area. You will probably have to send in paperwork to prove who you are and your income. While also on the phone probably after talking to your 3 or 4th person they should be able to help you pick a few doctors to call to get an appointment. Then hope the Dr's are open and taking new pacients. If all else fails you can go to your local hospital/where your planning on delivering and they can set you up with financial assistance. The hospital will also have info on which Dr's take straight medicaid.      Also if you have an urgent care type place near you, you can call and see if they can give you a pap and get base blood work done. However many do not have obgyn services. This you will have to pay out of pocket though if the above suggestions do not work. Don't be shocked if your quoted 500$ or more but you may get lucky.   Good luck let me know if any of this helps!   P.s. from a personal stand point I'd try to get in for a sonogram at or before 20 weeks so the anatomy of baby can be checked on.

I don't think an ER would take you considering it's not an emergency. I'd try an immediate care center or even just call around and tell them your situation
