CRAZY BACK PAIN?!?!

There has GOT to be something I can do to relieve the back pain I'm having, I have tried laying down, propping my legs up with pillows and supporting my tummy the whole 9, yards including warm showers etc.
but That only makes it worse. It hurts to sit, stand, walk. And the pain seems to get worse at night which also alters my sleep. It's to the point now where I dread nightfall because every night for the past 2-3weeks I end up almost in tears. It's not saitic nerve pain, it's not affecting my buttcheeks or legs. Just lower back. HELP

I have been doing yoga for 1 month, every day morning and evening. The stretches for my lower back seem to help. I found the moves for lower back on youtube. It also relaxes me a lot.

I am in the same boat! The 3 best relievers I have found.
1) going in the pool! This is amazing take pressure away almost immediately for me. If you don't have a pool I would find a fitness center or something it is a life saver for me.
2) heat had not worked well for me, but ice provides relief , especially during long car-rides to take the edge off.
3) when I lay down I place a pillow under my ribcage , this seems to take the pressure off my back and hip this way and allows me to fall asleep.

I am 35 weeks and 2 days, and my back pain has been awful. It is only one side of my lower back. I believe it is a combination of lifting my toddler and pressure from the baby's head. I had an ultrasound a few days ago and the baby's head was buried on the left side behind my pelvis and he wasn't budging. I think that is also a factor . The pain had gotten so bad at times I thought I was going to throw up! I am in good spirits with these 3 things, I also have a pool so I have spent quite a few hours floating and enjoying the relief. I don't know why it works so well but if I could spend all day floating to be comfortable I would!

Oh you poor thing..that sounds terrible. My doc said rice socks were ok to use, maybe zap a few in the microwave and set them along a recliner and sleep on that instead of in bed. Thats all I got, good luck.
