Thick skin on the neck?

Okay so maybe I'm worrying to much but I had a US today and in one picture the skin on the back of the baby's neck was thick. The OB said that it could mean the baby has Down Syndrome or a heart defect. Well in the next picture she said that the skin on the neck looked more normal. I go back in two days for another US and they will look at it again she said it was probably just a bad angle and that she isn't worried and that I shouldn't either but that's easier said than done. Has anyone else had this happen?
