Sorry your little one is having diaper rash. My first daughter got diaper rash when I tried being fancy and bought her Huggies Supreme. I realized she was allergic to it and I switched her to LUVS. I've always used this powder call Caldesene, its in a pink bottle and you can find it in any CVS or Walgreens. It is so good it formulated to keep moisture away from their skin. You can use it on prickly heat too. I'm so accustomed to it I've used it on my 2 year old from birth and will probably use it on the new baby. If they are having active Diaper rash, A&D ointment has always worked for me. I hope this will be helpful even though its a month late.

Corn starch worked for my kids and lotrimin foot cream.

I just bought wash clothes in bulk and would wipe my DD with that. she was allergic to the sent on ANY wipes if the ones that were unscented gave her a rash.  We could just keep reusing the wash clothes after they were washed so it ended up saving money. In the diaper bag i would just wet some clothes and stick them in zip baggies so if i wasn't near a bathroom it wasn't a problem.

cotton CLOTH diapers... changed often with no rubber pant. Wash bum after every wet or mess.. use water not wipes.. get stack of good paper towels, just carry baby to bathroom counter gentel wash with warm water and soaked paper towel.
Also use alfo wax it is so thick but works wonders...rub between hands to warm apply to dry bottom. GOOD LUCK. This too shall pass. My boy srashed up wiht paper diapers and not with the cloths.. for sale used and soft on ebay or get news ones wal mart bottom shelf.. I used cltoh on all myu kids. jsut wash throw in basket no need to fold. EASY and cheap ..online helpo will tell you how.
Walmart has some as does dollar general.
