The mucus plug is a slimmy thing that keeps the uterus from getting an infection or bacteria. You can lose it anytime around 36 weeks or so. That doesn't mean you're going into labor but it's a sign that you're close. About the dr. touching down there, it will be at about 35-36 weeks unless there's a reason to do it sooner. You'll be fine. There are a lot of supportive people on here!!
Oh gosh 36 weeks is close what are they going to do??
They just check the cervix and if you are dilated. Every doctor is different so some might do it earlier and some might do it later. I guess it just depends. During my last pregnancy they did it at about 35 weeks. I was dilated about 2cm and they just told me to take it easy. At 38 weeks I went into labor before they could do my c-section. I don't want to scare you, but I had a terrible last couple of weeks during my last pregnancy. I was huge!! Everything hurt me, every turn while I slept, every time I would get up or sit down. My hips would hurt so bad, I would just cry because I was frustrated. Everyone is different. With my first pregnancy I didn't go through any of that. I had a very easy first pregnancy. I wish this pregnancy isn't difficult during the last weeks.
Thank you so much i hope it goes good for you as well.
