Ways to induce labor!!

Ok, I know a lot of us are close to our due dates and we are trying to find ways to induce labor. I read on babycenter that resting can actually help induce labor. Stress and being tired releases hormones that prevent a pregnant woman from going into labor so sleep a lot (the day I went into labor with my daughter I stayed in bed all day and napped all day). I also read that sex (both partners must have an orgasm), nipple stimulation and walking can also induce labor. (Actually power walking) So if you are desperate to get things started then it's time to do your part =)

Yeay, you're right, it's 39 weeks when they will consider inducing. But I think they still don't really want to induce unless it's very necessary.

I think it's 39 weeks. My doc says it's hard for her to induce before 39 weeks, but I guess that's good, baby will definitely be done cooking by then. :)

I think doctors won't induce earlier than 40 weeks because of insurance purposes. The longer we are pregnant, the more they get paid! I think that's why my doctor won't allow me to have a natural child birth because they get paid more if I get a c-section :(

Nothing works,I tried it all with my 1st... sleep, sex
And lots if it.  Tried walking for miles...hot curry and the pineapple thing...you need about 7 whole ones.. I was 9 days late and started labour after
A sweep from the mw. My 2nd was 9 days late too..
I'm now 37 weeks with no.3.... I'm praying he comes early...I'm in so much pain. Thinking of
Doing a home sweep myself if I could.lol.
Mw. Says she'll do it after 38 weeks but I don't
Think she's too willing too...

Yeah, I've heard that one too, but wasn't too sure. There are also other teas, but I've read that they can cause complications with the baby, that's why I didn't post those on here!!

I think Babyiish should be the first to try these to see if they work :P J/K

I'm not good at sitting still or napping, and sex is out...I guess I could walk if I could get out before it gets hot. Texas heat and pregnancy aren't fun.

:)
I don't even feel like having sex...but I could definitely go with the "stay in bed all day and nap all day" to bad I have a two year old...when I'm standing for a long time washing dishes or cleaning I feel like...Im gonna go into labor...lol
So I'll keep doing that.... :(

Thks vani x
