sleeping troubles

I've been reading in my baby books that I'm supposed to be sleeping on my left side. I've been trying to do that with the help of body pillows and special pillows for my head but it is really difficult for me and I can't seem to sleep through the night. Any tips or helpful comments?

How long have you been trying? I started sleeping on my side - which I've never done before - when I first found out at 4 weeks pregnant, and by the second trimester it was natural for me. I use body pillows too, and occasionally switch sides. The left side is ideal for circulation and all that, but switching to your other side is okay. It's okay if you wake up in another position, just roll yourself back to your side and go back to sleep.
