Pl bleeding week 12.. pls share experiences if any xx

I hope you and your little ones are all healthy and well.

2 days ago I woke up and after going for a pee found dark blood when I wiped and I haven't bled at all during this pregnancy. This is my second pregnancy as the first ended in a miscarriage last December just before Christmas but in was 6 weeks then.

I panicked and rushed myself to the early pregnancy unit who did a scan and saw the baby's heartbeat and saw it move so they said so far everything is still okay and to pray that the bleeding doesn't turn to fresh bright red blood or that the cramping pain doesn't  start.

Yesterday morning I woke up to more of the same bleeding but this time with mucus (or clots I can't tell)... It was more than yesterday and brown blood was on the tissue every time I wiped... and again this morning  (so it's the 3rd day )

I'm petrified.. has anyone  had any similar experiences at this stage in the pregnancy?

I have my official dating scan later today and I'm so worried to be told something in is wrong :(

Oh ladies thank you all for your input...

I had my dating scan today and the baby is still breathing (phew!!!) Unfortunately I didn't see it move but the doctor said it might be sleeping and it gave one tiny jump when I coughed but that was it...

They couldn't see the cause of bleeding but they said that was a good thing and that the bleeding could either be because the placenta is low at this point of the pregnancy, or from my fibroids, or from an old clot that's breaking down....

They did say not to worry as long as it was only when I wiped and as long and it was brown blood that's also not too bad...

Fingers crossed all stays well, they offered me another scan in one week to make sure everything is still okay...

I hope things work out well for all you ladies xxx

My doctor told me to expect this type of bleeding. It's called inception bleeding and it is caused right at the beginning of your pregnancy when the fertilised egg burrows into your womb and causes trauma. It's nothing to worry about so try not to panic. Hope your doing well otherwise Xx

I have just gone through something similar.. I felt a gush and thought that's it I've miscarried.. that turned out to be brown blood which turned into pink discharge.. got scanned and baby was there all perfectly snug.. no idea where the blood came from and still getting pink discharge every other day.. I will be 11wks on Sunday and I'm trying not to worry about it.. as long as I don't get and any red blood all is ok x

I am pregnant with my 3rd.  My first I had heavy bleeding for like 5 days on week 13.  Everything was fine after being checked out.  Just had to talk it easy with feet up and no heavy lifting. Am spotting this pregnancy and doc said everything is fine.  50% of women bleed on pregnancy he told me.  But always talk to the doc about it or call in.
