For ladies on team blue

I'm 25 weeks with a little boy and unsure if I want to circumcise him or not. What's everyone's views on it? For or against?

I am team uncircumsize. There really is no scientific evidence its cleaner. It just kind of became the social norm here. And I dont want to take the decision away from my son. Its not my penis to permanently alter.if you do decide to keep him intact make sure you do research on it. I guess the fore skin is tight for awhile and stuff like that.
Good luck with your decision.

I'm not doing that. Why must I choose how his private part should be?  I will teach him hygiene and how to keep it clean, but circumcision is not an option for  us if he wants to let it be on  his terms. Plus the skin to me helps protect the head.

We decided not to with my son, now two. When I looked into it the statistics were that it was much more common not to. There's been a big shift over the last generation  from the vast majority of little boys being circumcised to now the vast majority not being circumcised. I respect that there are lots of reasons why parents decide to do it or not to do it and everyone is doing the best for their baby. When I looked into it there didn't seem to support that it is cleaner to be circumcised. I am a childcare provider who works with infants and toddler with eight years in the field and have never heard from a family that they are struggling with infections or proper cleaning. Also the foreskin is very sensitive and gives men a significant amount of enjoyment when engaging in sex. Obviously both circumcised and uncircumcised men enjoy sex but it's known that the foreskin is very sensitive so my view is not to mess with nature if it's not necessary. Again like everyone has said it's a touchy subject, just wanted to share for team uncircumcised. It's also a great subject to discuss with your doctor or midwife for the most current information.

I'm for it. I'm having a boy and I will get him done. I believe it's cleaner and when he gets older and he feels he is to old for mommy to wash him there it will be easier for him to get it clean n keep it clean.

Such a touchy subject for some. Lol for us, we decided against it as the father isn't circumsized. Regardless of weather you do or don't you still need to teach proper care techniques to avoid infections and such, so we didn't feel the importance behind doing so.
