God Parents??

How did you ladies choose your child(rens) God Parents? How did you ask them?

my child has 2 sets of God parents. my two best friends from college my best guy friend of 10 years who happens to be dating my other best friend so that was easy. the other God mothers boyfriend who has been wonderful the entire time ive been pregnant his mom even calls my child her God grand baby lol. they all love him so much already hes def. one blessed little man.

I recently converted to Catholicism, so this has been a big discussion in our house. For Catholics, at least one of the godparents needs to be Catholic, and any others must be baptized Christians. I don't know many Catholics that I am close to so our decision was pretty much made for us because there's only one friend that fits the bill that we felt comfortable asking. But because none of my husband's siblings are baptized, we unfortunately couldn't ask them too. We've already asked my friend because we will be getting the baby baptized really early because that's when family will be in from out of town.

Everyone has a different meaning of godparents . I am Lutheran and in my church to be a godparent you must be baptized. Thankfully all of her godparents were baptized I'm my church by the same pastor

Mine are because I love and trust them with my life. I have 4 sisters and 28 cousins my parents are in good health. My child's father and I are not together and will never be. But if I were to die she would go to her father but under my will she will be with my family for the months of may-August but if her father were to pass also she would live this my parents or sisters because my family is so large that her godparents would not have custody of her . Her godparents are in her life to help her with her faith and be an extra pair of hands to raise her...

Idk how  some people choose but I'm Catholic and we choose one our good friends we've known for years. They've been married for a long time have five kids. Now being Catholic if you choose a couple they have to be married in a Catholic church and have the three sacrements. If their single have to have three sacraments. But we chose the same godparents for all three of our boys I wanted a family oriented couple no someone with unstable relationship or men who drink. Wanted someone I can count on with my kids someone to trust with them at all times

We chose a very good friend of mine that Ive known for about 16 years since we were little kids and my bfs brother. Both very good examples it wasn't a hard choice at all. We both knew who we wanted and agreed upon it right away. Ive never heard of having multiple sets of godparents though..so we just went with those two.

I asked my cousin for my daughter. She has two boys and a soild marriage. She is a very positive wholesome person so I knew she would be perfect and her husband and boys love my daughter. I thought she would be perfect and I knew if anything happened to my husband and I she would be the one I would want to raise my daughter.

with my first child I went with my sister and My brother who have been a great older influence in life for me they are very stable in their own lives and I feel that they will be great role models as they are great parents as well. we are now expecting our second and his sister in law asked if she could be the godmother which I feel a little bit uncomfortable about because ver marriage is very unstable they live in Louisiana and we live in California and I feel that she just asked to be anyone to the punch not so much because she cares about me or my child so I don't know we'll see about this.. lol
