I'm pretty sure I left a comment specifically about the name Job on your last post. While you're absolutely right that he was patient and blessed later in life, he went through some AWFUL stuff. I personally wouldn't want to name my child something associated with suffering.
That being said, clearly you and I have very different perspectives on the name. I love how it connects with your name and your husband's name - that's adorable! So I say that if you both love it, go for it!
My mother name my brother Job also, but now that my brother is 17 he have a little resentment for the name. But the story of the man Job is an exceptional one, so go for it. If you feel that people might make fun of the name then try spelling it differently if you are uncomfortable with it, but if you love the name then Baby Job it is.
The only challenge might be getting people to pronounce it right. If someone doesn't know the story, they probably will pronounce it wrong.
I agree completely with the comments above!!!
I feel like if you two love the name, then you should be him Job. Its unique and I love unique names! Its not something you can twist around and make into a cruel joke.. Which kids always do.. So I say go for it. Especially with the passion you seem to have for the name!
It's different. It's not horrible. We're naming our son Killian and I already have people saying negative and hurtful things. But in the end is MY son and I'll name him what I feel suits our family. If you love the name and it has such a strong meaning to you then keep it girl! Everyone will love that baby no matter his name :)
