So this is my labor story. Im due june 22 but could not wait any longer. Idid the Membrane sweep july 16 4:20pm
Lost mucus plug 6:30am july 17
1:54am july 18 water broke
2:30am heavy flow water got to hospital
Contractions got bad 20-30 mins after
Epidural 5:45am
7cm dilated 7:15am
11:15am complete dilation +2 position in pelvis.
11:20 started laboring down
12: 15 pm started pushing
2.20pm passed pubic bone
2:25pm lucas Alexander born

Before the epidural i tried to stand the pain at 4cm dilated when i got in. Their iv pain med did not work. I felt like i was dying,the epi was delayed due to another emergency. It was the worst possible pain in my life.  One thing i will say is the epi went well and it was a life saver.i ensured that i didn't move that's all.  I felt nothing after taking it. Nurses said i did very well, everything flowed smoothly thank god and now im blessed with a wonderful baby boy. Good luck everyone!!!

You sound lucky.  My water broke but my contractions were unproductive for 12 hours.  I wanted a natural birth but due to lack of progress I opted for pitocin and an epidural.  Still no progress for another 12 hours and the pain came back.  Had epidural redone and still major pain.  By the time I could finally labor down the pain was so bad that my only choice was to push.  The pain was excruciating... Pushed for 2.5 hours.  I can't believe that an epidural is actually 10/10 painful when pushing

Sorry to hear. Im not so lucky now recovering from extreme swelling and 3rd degree tear :( they say its bad, ithe woo take 6 weeks or more to heal.

3rd degree tears are nasty, I had one with my first. It will take a while to heal, but if it's any comfort to you, I've had 2 babies since and not needed any stitches at all. Congratulations on your baby!
