My Dr. is moving away!!

Omg! I'm freaking out here. I'm 27 weeks today and at my appointment this morning my dr. Told me he is moving immediately to Kansas. This was my last appointment with him. I will never find another dr. As good as him. I'm sooo bummed out. He has referred me to a perinatal specialist group he works with and says they Are the only Dr's he trusts to deliver my baby. There are 8 Dr's there tho! Who knows which one will deliver my baby and that scares me. I know these drs are all very good but it's still a scary thought to transfer in the middle of my pregnancy. I just wanna cry :-(

Noooo, i would move with mine lol!!! That's horrible. Ask him to refer you to an oB of his liking. Maybe that'll make you at least a little more at ease.

I'm sorry you are going thru this! I am in a ob office that has multiple  doctors..and yes they will schedule you to see all of them before you deliver..and then who ever is on call will deliver for ya. I don't have to many options for doctors but they are the best in town. It isn't the best thing but you will be in good hands. There are always a few that do remember you and really listen to your needs and make sure everything is met. I wish you luck with your drew doctors! My primary pediatrician for my first daughter just moved so I know how you feel!

Thanks ladies. I wish u Both a healthy pregnancy and delivery also. I know that I just have to make the best out of these circumstances but I'm just not crazy about the sudden change this far in my pregnancy.  I know my Dr. Is leaving me in good hands but I'm gonna miss having him as my dr. He was amazing, very personal, and always took his time to answer any questions. He was a private obgyn so he always remembered me and everything I have gone thru this pregnancy. I'm gonna miss that. I will probably see a different dr at all my appointments from this point on and they probably won't even remember my face. I guess that is to be expected. Like I said I'm going to make the best out of it and stay positive.  Thanks again girls!

That's terrible... I know how hard it is to find a dr you like. It took me awhile to find a pediatrician for my kids that I liked. In my 1st pregnancy I went to an office there were 6 drs. So each apt was with a different one, it's hard because you don't know if you really like them/their view points etc. but the truth is your dr probably rotated the hospital shifts with this group of drs. Your reg dr doesn't always deliver your baby. I know my dr rotates shifts at 2 different hospitals with 4 other drs. In fact today I asked him if he was going to be in town around  my due date. He said yes, but would be gone most of the following month
