Speed up Labor!!!!

I'm 39 weeks exactly 7 days away. & I'm miserable! What can I do to help speed up labor. I've been having sex but it's hard & uncomfortable, mainly bc of my size. If felt a dull pain & my lower back & hips & ive had braxton hicks but No other signs of labor approaching. No mucus plug or blood.

I met a lady last night who has been a midwife for years she said hula hooping! I've not tried it because I'm being induced tomorrow anyway but maybe worth a go? I also asked her about castor oil as I've seen a lot of ladies on here were taking that- she said it is NOT recommended and can make baby poop before birth which is obviously not good. She said hot curry hot bath and sex although it's not proven to work. Good luck I'm sure you won't be waiting too much longer- try asking for a sweep at your next appointment- I had 2 which gave me contractions all night then stopped, but it may work for you x

Just don't do the castor oil thing (diarrhea while in labor just sounds terrible!). Like it was said up above, baby will come when ready and most things are old wives tales, according to my doctor. Keep active but rest a lot when you can.

You can try all the tricks in the book  but unless the baby wants to come they won't you could try walking and squats gravity will help pull the baby down but like I said if the baby doesn't want to come they won't
