baby shower

My sister's are planning a baby shower for me. Two of them live out of town with kids of their own. They are planning the shower around when the kids are on spring break so it will be at the end of march. When it came to my wedding my mom and my husband's mom had separate wedding showers. I guess my sister sent my mil an email asking if she was planning on doing a shower for her family again of not she can host a shower for both families. My mil got the Facebook message right away but hasn't sent a response yet. They have to send out the invites soon and they want to know what her plan is so nobody is left out. My mil was a nightmare for the whole wedding and I fear this is the start of some childish drama over a simple question. Should we just assume she will not be throwing a shower and do it all in one?

Thanks ladies. It would be much easier to just invite everyone and if she has a problem with it that's on her for not responding.

I would do an all in one and let the mil know the situation and keep some extra invites in case she wants to invite ppl y'all haven't considered yet.

I would if I was you just in case. If ahe makes a deal of it you can say well you didn't respond and we needed one so we just thought the best thing was for everyone to be invited. If she gets huffy about that at least you are covered and people will see you considered everyone. Maybe tell her one last time you need to know right now because the invites are about to go out, but honestly if she is difficult I would just invite everyone anyway.
