Thank you ladies I've heard so many mixed reviews about the classes actually helping just trying to figure out if it's worth the time or to just do videos online
I'm taking a hypnobirthing class. I love it. It teaches you how to really relax because the more stress and anxiety you feel the harder and more painful your labor will be.
I just signed up for my classes looms like it would be useful
I took a Lamaze/birthing class w/ 1st pregnancy. I thought it was helpful to a point. However, they never discussed what to do when your water breaks. I had no idea, what to do when it happened to me. In the class they taught how important it is to stay home for longer (it's more comfortable at home, the hospital may send you home, etc). They never touched the topic of a csection (I had an emergency csection), it would have been helpful to have some idea of other delivery situations. Before my C I tried naturally for 17 hrs (it's painful), I never used the breathing techniques they taught - I used more deep breathing, yoga:Pilates type breathing. It helped me more. It was comforting though to have done the class.
This is my 2nd baby but they will have a 7 year gap. I dont remember too much from when my 1st was born. So i will be taking advantage of breastfeeding and child birth classes. Anything to refresh me before my sweetheart gets here. There are usually community classes that are very affordable in each city just google. Hope that insight helps :)
