hospital stay

How long should I plan to be in the hospital? Does it depend on my insurance? Or how the birth goes? Or hospital policy? Not sure who to ask.

Depends on the hospital and how delivery goes. I'm having a c section and my stay will be 3-4days

Plan in just 24hrs that is normal/standard for a healthy delivery. If U have a csection the stay is 48 hrs. Call Ur hospital talk to them. Have U preregistered at the hospital air delivering at? I registered at 30wks or so. The hospital has a nurse that has called to check in & asked if I had any questions.

I was told that insurances now have to cover 48 hours in the hospital, but it is up to you and your doctor if you want to stay that long. At my hospital, non FTM can leave the same day if there are no complications but they keep FTMs for two overnights.  If you have a c-section they generally keep you longer, at my hospital it is 4 days. I'd call your hospital and ask them their normal policy and ask your doctor what they normally recommend.

It all depends on how the birth goes, if you're a first time mother or have other children and how your vital signs are after giving birth :)

Some women stay 24hrs with no complications. I know I will be in 48hrs after due to being gbs+. Ask your hospital or midwife for policy.

It all depends on how the birth goes. If it all goes well you will only be there for a couple of days
