need an honest opinion

I have chosen the name ulric thomas for my son. Me, my husband and our families love it. But i have caught the people i work with making fun of it. Is it terrible?

Bump25 i am so glad you knew that, the two names we were choosing from were lars and ulric. My husband likes the name Lars but I did not I was looking through Norwegian names and found Ulric at the time I did not put it together that it was larS's last name realized it about a week later not intentionally naming him after Metallica but it is one of my favorite bands

Lars Ulric is in Metallica, so I think it's a really cool name

I agree ^^   name him what you want.  Everyone is entitled to their own opinion otherwise Everyone would have the exact same name.  My daughters name is Olive. Most love it but my grandparents and my mom dont.  They call her Liv. We have no thoughts on the boy we are expecting!

I think it's a gorgeous name, and so long as you and your husband like it that's all that matters. We're going for Elsie Arwen for our little girl, our parents don't even like Arwen as a middle name but we've told them tough doodoos, it's our choice!

Oops my comment didn't finish! We loved the name as its quite unique and different but not too strange. The meaning is awesome too :) but we are having a girl

Don't stress about the others. your the one that is naming him. I've never heard of that name and I think it's got a nice sound. My cousin named her daughter Tiger Lilli, so her name is actually Tiger, she basically told people to shove it.

We wanted something different and unique, something that had meaning
