I'm not expert. And always suggest someone should just call their Obgyn office and speak with a triage nurse. But when I had a miscarriage 2 years ago there was a lot of blood (like having a normal period) and severe cramping. From what I've read a small amount of discharge is ok, as long as its not accompanied by severe cramping. But again, my Ob says I can always call the nurse triage line cause they are very knowledgeable.

Im 7 weeks one day today and I've had brown discharge and blood twice, had a blood test done two days ago to check hormone level and came back perfect. Went today for an emergency ultra sound since there was more blood this morning and everything is fine.  Baby had a strong heart beat at 138. They said Brown discharge is ok but if u have any blood to be safe go get checked out. I have been a nervous freak until I saw the heart beat
