Castor oil?

does anyone know how effective castor oil is for induction?

I used it with my first. I just swallowed a mouthful one evening before bed. Water broke at 1am, I sat on the toilet while then-hubby ran around getting everything together. My bowels were clean and I delivered a baby boy 12 hrs later, 3 weeks early.

I heard that if your not progressing in labor don't try it but it could speed up labor

I tried it with my 2nd son and it worked fine with no problems.. I'm 35 weeks now and I plan on trying it again around 38 if my lil boy not here... To each is on tho

I was 10 days past due with the last baby an it never worked I tried multiple times Gabe me bad stomach cramps an diarrhea but that was it. Not worth torturing yourseld.

Youll get a lot of mixed opinions on this,works for some but personally i heard too many horrors stories about it so wouldnt try it myself coz more often than not it can cause diaherra during delivery and it can be dangerous to baby too

I don't really know for sure but my grandmother swore by it. She would mix it with orange juice, drink it, and go for a walk. It also worked for my first cousin. This is just what I've been told by my grandmother and cousin so I can only assume they're telling the truth.
