we're back and we've missed you!
Good gawd, it has been weeks since I have been on. SLACKER! I started a contract job - just 20 hrs a week from home but I really work and then after, I don't want to be online. Contracting is soo different than having a full time job and having a near 6 month old - WOW!
Hayden is GREAT - no teeth but so active. Smiley, happy, giggles, sits up, SPITS UP, grasps hair, shrieks, gurgles and so much more. She amazes me daily.
I have an awesome babysitter that comes three times a week for three hours each. Not only does she know CPR, but she is trained to teach. We had a nanny - but after two visits I let her go. She was not a citizen and could provide no ID. I just kept thinking if Hayden was choking - would she hesitate to call 9-1-1? It was a risk I did not want to take.
I'm going to read everyones Monday's updates to see how your babes are doing. Missed you guys!
OH - we live in downtown Chicago and yesterday Oprah was broadcasting from Michigan Ave - so Hayden and I went down, saw some of the taping, danced to Black Eyed Peas and had a ball! SO FUN!

Sounds like your babysitter is awesome! I grew up with a live in nanny who was not a citizen and she was FANTASTIC! But, as a parent (no offense to my own!) I would probably have done the same thing as you and let her go.
And, I am jealous you live in a place that has so much going on. Little 'ol Tucson isn't very exciting, unless you are vacationing or a winter visitor :( I sure you two had a fun time! Welcome back! I won't be on for a while as we are leaving for Maui in the morning for 10 days. I want nothing to do with the computer during that time ;)
