Are we down to one nap?

My little peanut who had a hard time getting on a good nap scheudle has decided that she no longer wants to nap in the morning.  I have read that most kids transition out of two naps a day, to one nap, around 18 months, but Leighton seems to be making this transition a little earlier.  Anyone elses pumpkkins changing their scheudles?  It is making it a little more difficult to get things done in the morning.  I guess now I will need to work on my own time management a little harder!  lol

Okaaay... I think I might have jumped to conclusions too soon.  She has been sleeping since 9:30am and it is now 12:45pm.  She is so regular with her naps that I can't even begin to figure this out.  Oh well.

I have to say though... I have been able to get a TON done for work in these 3 hours!

Phin has a similar schedule to Hayden. He goes down at 9 am for 1-1.5 hrs and then again at 2pm for 2-3 hrs.

I put Jack down 3 times a day (mommy needs her breaks). ;) Most of the time though he is only sleeping during two of these periods. For a while he was playing during his morning nap then taking a longer afternoon nap. I think all in all he gets about 3 hours a day.

Sorry I missed the Monday updates...I figured Thursday night was a bit to late so I will just catch up with everyone next Monday. ;) Not much new with Jack...walking and bumping his head...that's about it. ;)

hayden is like clockwork on the naps. 9:15am for 1.5 to 2 hours and again at 2:45/3 for another two hours (except of course when we recently traveled to CA & everything got thrown off!). I can't imagine her dropping one at this point b/c she seems to need these two naps. Hopefully we have a few more months in the tank b/c I am not ready for her to give up one of her naps....I've learned to be completely selfish with these time blocks.

But I hear from friends that they do the longer afternoon nap like you describe, Ovaz. Lordy, I will certainly need this group's support when she drops her naps! This kid keeps going and going, I will surely be exhausted!

So today I tried something new with her... I put her down for a nap after lunch... so around 12:45ish and she slept for 2 1/2 hours.  So instead of her taking a 1 1/2 hr. morning nap and a 1 1/2 hour afternoon nap, she sorta combined the two (almost the same amount of sleep time).  I am going to try this tomorrow and see if that still works for her and then I guess we will be down to one nap!

She has been playing through her morning nap for the past week or so.  So, I guess she knows what she needs and I will just help her with it :)

Brock still has 2 per day.  In daycares, they transition at 1 year old to 1 nap.  They need to do that to move up to the one year old room.  I guess they do it when they need it.

Mark varies his naps, but still generally takes 2 a day. Sometimes, though, he only takes one. By the end of those days I am so flippin' exhausted! :)
