Ava had her 18 month check up. She is a petite little girl. She weighs 21lbs and I can't remember how tall. Her height and weight are poportioned to each other so the dr isn't worried. He did say her left leg had an intoe? I'm not sure what that is but he said to help it I could put her shoes on the wrong feet? When they gave her the flu shot she did not cry! She is a touch little girl. She pouted her lips and that's all. She is doing well as a big sister. She loves her baby sister, wants to constantly hold her or kiss her. When the baby cries Ava will run over to her and try to give her the pacifier. I am thinking about potty training. Two kids in diapers is work. God bless those who have multiples, I don't think I could do it.
Oh on youtube.com - check out hooked on phonics - they have tons of goodies. I made a play list and she sits at my desk and watches when I am doing stuff like fixing the bed, etc.
Tonight in the bath drew had those puffy letters and numbers in there and he kept asking her to grab certain ones and she kept doing it. I was so blown away! These little nuggets are sponges!
Ovaz - keep us posted on the eye updates - thinking of you! love the freeze/tag. I do ready-set-go-stop with Hayden in our apt. Neighbors must love us!
Jules - Hayden always seems to kick my belly or topple on me - I know the safest place for the kid is inside & insulated! Can't wait for your gender news!
Irish - WHOA!! I had a feeling when you said you are late. I know you are nervous b/c of the m/c - but we are here for you! Great news to start! If you need peace of mind b/f your u/s - go for period blood test updates to make sure the levels are going up. That is what I did!
Kele - you are soooo close! WOW! I was just on gap.com buying more crap for Hayden and saw the cutest monkey slippers - hmm, maybe a treat for your little phin monkey??
Phin is a little monkey and loves to climb everything! He would get up on top of the fridge if I didn't stop him I think. We have been doing a playgroup every week and he loves it. The kids get to do crafts which is so cute. Last week Phin made a little bear covered in cinnamon for his Dad, he spent most of the car ride home sniffing it.
His big achievement of the week was learning to snort like a pig, talk about funny!
AFM-32 weeks and dying of heartburn and hormonal angst. I cry a lot nowadays which *****. DH has to go away for three days for work and I broke down when he told me. I felt so bad as he instantly felt so bad about leaving me. I got myself together though and calmed him down as well. ^_^
Irish-That is wonderful news! I will keep you in my thoughts until the first u/s wishing you luck.
Hey ladies! Well I am back for another update. My schedule must be lightening up or I am just getting lazy around the house.;)
Well in the past week or so Jack has just become a bundle of words. He has trippled his vocabulary so fast. I think we are up to 10 words. Other than that, not much else is going on.
AFM - I took an hpt on Friday and it came out positive. I am excited but not really...at least not yet. I worry every day that something will go wrong with this one too so I am trying not to do the usual planning I did with the last one. I have my first u/s appointment the last week of October. It is going to be a long 3 weeks...augh! I seem to be analyzing every symptom and lack of symptom right now to see if anything is changing. So far I only have slightly sore bbs and am extremely tired all the time. So until we go in for the u/s I won't speak of the pregnancy in terms of weeks because then that will only get me thinking more. This part is a killer for sure.
Jem - That is awesome to hear about Hayden's counting! And with regards to the eating string I probably couldn't tell the difference with Jack. He still puts everything in his mouth. Just the other day his mouth was all purple from a marker he grabbed out of our office desk. This kid is really going to hate me when we take the paci away in a few weeks.
Ovaz - Glad you guys are cooling down a bit. I use to live in a place where we got up to 106 for a month or so at a time, though you probably think that is a cold spell in AZ. ;) That heat can be brutal.
Jules - Thank goodness jumping on mom's stomach didn't cause too much pain. I guess the baby's "house" is made pretty darn well. Take care and keep us posted on how things are going.
Have a good week everyone!
Mady is doing pretty well. Still talking/bablling up a storm. She goes in for her 18month next Monday so I will update then.
I can't believe our babies are getting so old. Man it feels like yesterday that we were still preggo with them.
Mady is doing really well at the sitters house she actually likes going now. Although I think the other little girl there is kinda mean but I think she is gettingused to Mady being there. Quimby the other girl has been there since 6 weeks old and she is 6 days younger than Mady. But she is napping, leaving mommy without tears.
Wow counting to 20 Jem that is amazing. Maybe we need to start these youtube videos. Do you reccomend any? I wish I had more time with Mady to do these things with her.
AFM- I am 15 weeks and feelig pretty good. Although I am huge. I feel like I did when I was 5-6 months preggo last time. I definately already popped. I had a small scare on Sunday Mady cannonballed on my stomach and I was kinda scared b/c I had some small cramping but it has semmed to fade away. I think my belly protected the little one!!! I have another appt on Thur and will schedule the gender ultrasound then too. I am soooo excited to find out what it is. I was thinking boy but now I amnot really sure anymore.
Enjoy your week!!!!
Go Hayden! That is awesome about the talking! You had to feel like a proud momma :) And, to answer your question about the stuffed animals... negative over here. But, that is very interesting! haha
Leighton turned 19 months today... and I had the realization that we are now closer to 2 years old than we are to 1 year old :( Sad moment.
She has her eye appt. this week up in Phoenix. I am a little nervous to hear what the doctor is going to say, but hopefully it will be good news... and not, "Leighton needs surgery."
The one new thing that she learned last week was freeze tag. She plays with the 2-3 year olds at our neighborhood park and it is hilarious to watch her run, run, run... and then "freeze" which more less consists of about 5 seconds of non movement and then she is off running again! She also is into playing soccer with the kiddos. We bring her own ball to kick around since she is a little to small to be bumping around with the 3 year olds. She runs, kicks, smiles and looks around to see who is watching.
It is FINALLY cooling down here. The high today was 90 degrees which felt like 75 degrees after all this 100+ heat we have been having. Which means more park dates with friends :)
That's about it on our end. Hope everyone is doing well.
