Mady got a Dora trik for XMAS and loves it, she cant reachthe peddles to actually fully use it yet,. but she loves riding it around the house....
I am still exhausted from Lei's 1st birthday party where we had over 50 ppl. WAY too many and I am just not up for it again. So, I thought... well I will just invite 4 of her friends and their parents. Well, those friends have siblings and then I felt obligated to invite them and then my husband thought that our other friends with kids would be offended if we didn't invite them so I said FORGET IT! No party this year.
So, just family for us. Her birthday is Thursday the 3rd, and we will celebrate Saturday.
JEM... We bought Lei a tricycle and she "test drove" it in Target. She keeps calling it a "chair with wheels". Pretty inventive if I do say so myself! haha We also bought her a xylaphone, clothes, and a plastic golf set. That is it :)
Phin's bday is on Tuesday but we had the party on Saturday. We rented out a space at a pizza/games place and he had a ball.
He got a talking Woody doll and he loves it, he tries to wear the hat, it is hilarious. So we are going to get him a cowboy hat so he can wear one that fits.
I can't believe that two years has passed.
Hayden's bday is on a Wed, so just having all moms that I know are home during the day w/ their kids. I sent 10 invites out. Elmo/Sesame Street theme. I might buy an Oscar or Elmo costume and force my brother in law to dress up. Otherwise, just a low key cake/pizza/play party in our place.
For gifts, I got Hayden a monogramed little back pack from PB Kids, and some rain boots and matching umbrella from Hatley (check them out online - love their stuff).
I wanted to ask when is the OK age to get a little bike? I thought that would be a great gift. Otherwise I will prob just get a few things like Little People, Sesame Street stuff and Little Einsteins. This kid loooves her shows!
We're doing just family this year. Brock loves Toy Story, so I want to get him a Woody doll. We're doing a football cake, because he loves football as well. We're doing kind of a cluster of different themes that he likes. We're doing it at 3:00 so Brock can nap, and we're having lasagna for an early dinner. Very small and simple!
