I did not breastfeed at all and got a period around 7 weeks! I have already had my second period! I think it varies so much for different people that the only true way to know is to take a test! Good luck!!!

I am only breastfeeding about 10% of the time and I still haven't had a period.  Granted I have only been doing this routine for a week, but here we are 13 weeks after she was born and no period.  Have to say... I don't miss her! haha...

I was a little worried that I was pregnant again and took a HPT 2 weeks ago and we aren't, but when you don't get a period it makes you wonder... "Am I pregnant again?!"

Whoops! Sounds like my mother in law. She had all of her kids within a year of each other (3 of them)....

Anyways, I quit nursing at 4 weeks and I got a true period at 9 weeks. I am super annoyed because I have been spotting/mini periods for the past 3 weeks because I got an IUD but I am pretty sure most women who aren't nursing get their periods anywhere from 7-12 weeks. I would definitely take a test! You should anyways if you are planning on taking contraceptives now just in case you ARE pregnant...Good Luck!

I have yet to get my period, but I am breastfeeding as well. The dryness you are talking about is due to your hormones. Many women experience dryness because they are still adjusting back to regular.
My girlfriend got pregnant with her third when her second was 2 months old, and she was nursing so this can happen. Take a test if you are worried.
