So close.....!

How can 38 days seem like tomorrow yet feel like months away!  The past 8 months flew by...now time is moving at a snails pace. *grumble* Sorry I just had to vent for a minute. I am so grateful to be pregnant and at the same time so freaking uncomfortable that I want to cry. But DH is going to bring me home a triple thick chocolate malt so I think that will make me less grumbly ^_^

Well I am behind and have 2 months still, but I am feeling you all.  2 months UGH, it seem miles away, but so close too.  We are working on the nursery, but I havent had a shower yet so don't have much to put in there, got the  room painted, crib built and getting the carpets cleaned, but otherwise it is pretty bare, boooo.

I am with amy on the cravings, I eat things but don't have to have them.  I have been eating p.b and apples a lot though yummy and good for you.

I go back and forth in the nesting mode some days I am a maniac and others I don't want to get off the couch, so maybe in a month or so things will change.

I can't wait to start hearing all the birthing stories from everyone who comes before me!!!

I have good days and bad days on the comfort issue. Lately my main complaint has been heartburn!! Jeez...I am ready for her to drop because supposedly that is when it gets better. I am constantly eating tums!
Fortunately I haven't had to give up on my bed yet. I am grateful for at least that...but I am sure soon I will have to figure something else out. I HAVE to have a pillow between my legs now...before I could take it or leave it but I will wake up and my tummy will ache and so will my hips if I don't have one.
I still haven't had cravings. I am so disappointed. :( On occaision I will think something sounds good and I will make it...but it hasn't been like a "OMG I have to eat this!" type of thing. I made chocolate chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast this morning..haha...very good! I recommend them if you ever need to justify chocolate for breakfast.

I am totally nesting right now too!!! I went to walmart and bought all this organizational stuff and I am having my father in law come into town this weekend and finish up some house projects (he can do anything...it is nice) and I am about to go upstairs right now and organize clothes in the nursery. I am putting off actually hanging things up until after all the showers...I am waiting on a few things before I can definitely decide on where I want things to go etc.

The weirdest thing is is that in a little over a month...we are ALL going to be mommies...woah! :) I mean I knew it was coming but it is just around the corner it is like waiting for Christmas when you are 5. You just can't stand it!!!

I am totally with you ladies! The other night I was in bed with my husband, and I heaved myself over onto my other side. After settling with the back pain, re- adjusting my pillow, and finally getting comfy I said, "I am done being pregnant. Mark can come anytime now."
Then my husband says, "Really, so soon?"
I, then said, "What do you mean?"
He says, "Well you haven't been pregnant pregnant for that long."
I just laughed and said, "That is such a male response. Babe, just so you know, the entire time you are pregnant you are 'pregnant pregnant' and that doesn't make me any more comfortable!"

I have been tackling one to two "big" chores every week, such as closets and corners and the basement and feel accomplished by doing it. But I don't feel that I am nesting yet, just having a baby coming is a good reason to get rid of junk and clear up some space.

Ovaz-Glad to give ya a craving! Enjoy that malt for me...mine isn't arriving for another 3 1/2 hours...*sigh*

Kele... I am so with you girl!  It really does seem like months away.  The funny thing is, that at the beginning of this journey 38 days seemed like nothing in comparison to how much time we had left in the pregnancy.  Funny how our minds play games with us!

I don't know about you, but I am in "nesting mode" now.  I took today off of work to clean out closets and make room for more c rap!  Its just that it that it will be Leighton's c rap, not mine! hahaha...

Mmm... a chocolate malt sounds amazing right now.  I am off to Babies R Us to return some things, but one the way home... I am going to stop at Sonic and pick one up! haha

i hear you - my husband left for a business trip last night and I was so EXCITED to get our bed to myself - sleep has been a major issue. Sadly - I ended up back on the couch sleeping in an upright position. The realization I will likely only get a good night sleep (which is not saying much) is on the couch makes it feel like my EDD is forever away.

Then again - I need this time b/c we have lots to do to prepare still!
