lower abdominal pain

So last night I had some excruciating pain in my lower left abdomen.  My midwife and my GP thought it was serious so sent me to the hospital.  The started to fade enough for me to be able to walk with my partners help. When I got to the hospital the woman I saw took my temperature, blood pressure, urine sample, prodded my belly and measured the babies heartbeat. She told me that I didn't have an infection and that she thought I was constipated.  She didn't tell me the baby was okay or that the heartbeat was fine. She told me that she wasn't sure why the pain was so severe and sent me home. Now I'm worried and slightly peed off because I had no reassurance at all.

I had the same problem two days ago I could not stand or stretch out it hurts so bad.I went to the emergency room they did a urine test and come to find out I had a really bad UTI. They advised me to lay of the diet drinks and gave me some antibiotics. What really scared me was she tried finding my baby's heart beat and could not find but the next day my original ob/gyn found it everything else was ok.

I've been some inthat area aswell.  This is my second pregnancy.  Most likely its the ligaments because the uterus is expanding.  But it's supposednot to last a long time.  should come and go.  If you are really worried, you should see your Obgyn :-)
