I can't really post a good labor story with all the timing and stuff, because it was very rough for me.
But I had to be induced due to high blood pressure and having a lot of protein in my urine (preeclampsmia) which we discovered the day before we decided to induce, we used something called cervidil. This was started friday march 6th around 5:00pm.
And then I went home, then went back to the hospital 24 hours after that with contractions (irregular) and I was 2-3 cm dilated.
Then they decided to admit me and got me put on oxitocin to get my contractions going and to help dilate me. I also then had an epidural (this saved my life, contractions were too much)
A few hours passed and I was 4-5 cm. So they turned up the oxitocin and they checked again and no change. And they turned it up again and baby started being in distress, so they went into my uterus to check on baby, not sure how.
But they turned off oxitocin and my contractions slowed down and I didn't continue to dilate.
They then gave me two choices. To either keep trying for vaginal birth and turn oxitocin back on, or to go for a c section.
I decided I wasn't gonna risk my babies heart beat dropping again and I was to exhausted at that point to even think of pushing.
And on Sunday March 8th my surprise gender baby boy Mason John Gary Ayala came by c section at 2:23 pm.
8lb 4oz, 51.5 cm long, with a head circumference of 36.5 cm.
& He's absolutely perfect.
Thank you everyone for sharing my journey with me. :)
