Period like blood

Hi everyone. Has anyone else experienced period like blood at 5/6 weeks Aswell as having period like pain in my lower stomach and back. I spoke to a maternity unit and they Said I'm too early to scan and said it can be implantation bleeding but it's more like a period. Defientely feels like a period not in a bad amount of pain but it is still pain. It's not reassuring if they won't examine you to tell you for sure. This is my first pregnancy. Can anyone relate?

You could be having your period. Have you tested?

Following... I have the same. Started at 6 weeks now I am 8 weeks and still get either brown or red when I wipe. Doc says baby is ok had 2 scans.

I had the same at 6 weeks I'm now 9 weeks and still bleed a little bit,  I went for a early scan and baby is fine.  Bleeding was coming from somewhere else.

I had bright red blood one night during my 7th week. I'm now in my 9th week and had the old blood "brownish" bleeding for about 10 days. Have had multiple sonograms and baby is happy and healthy. Doc says there's blood draining, but it's not coming from the embryo/fetus. Everyone is different :)

Hi, I am 5weeks now and its my first pregnancy. Yesterday i had spotting and light bleeding. I freaked out and immediately took an appointment. After the sonogram doctor said that everything was normal and to inform her if the bleeding increases in next few days

Hi there
I understand your stress I'm 5w6d and today I started bleeding. Started out as brown discharge and is now red blood. Certainly not the flow of a period more like staining or underwear and an appearance when wiping. Had a blood test for hcg today and another in two days. Will find out Monday if I miscarried. Fingers are crossed but I'm not hopeful as I am having intense cramps and back ache.

I spotted at 6 weeks. It was one of the ways i found out that i was pregnant.

Even if its implantation bleeding, its still bleeding and a matter of concern.
Light spotting is acceptable but not bleeding.
You could get an ultrasound done by end of 6th week. Even if everything is normal, it will help you calm your nerves.
