I wanted to try a VBAC this go around, but the doc did not give me an option. He told me that I was going to have a c section on my first visit. I asked him if he was going to let me go into labor or just schedule it regardless. He said that he preferred that I not go into labor. Something about the added strain on my uterus.
if they sent you home from the hospital then it isn't that serious. Trust me, if they thought that you or the baby was in trouble they wouldn't have let you leave.
drink some water and relax. go home and put your feet up. :)
spazing out isn't going to help anything
Are you drinking lots of water? Two weeks ago I started having contractions. Turns out I had some mild dehydration from being sick with a bad cold virus. 3 bottles of water in a row later with some rest and the contractions were gone. (34w2d)
Ok ladies so yesterday I went to the ER cause I was having
contractions not to where I was crying but I couldn't even walk
and so I wanted to go just to be on the safe side. Well when I
got there I the nurse said well you are having contractions they
were about 3 1/2 to 5 minutes apart. I am only 33w 2 days so
they hooked me up to an IV to stop the contractions and gave me
demerol and phenogren to stop all my pain. My contractions went
away and I slept all night long. This morning I got up now I am at
work but I just had like three contractions within the last hour in a half
or so. I hope I can make it all the way or atleast till 35 weeks or 36.
Ask your doctor what is the chances of u being able.Mine said she was 99.9 percent sure i couldnt ever have vaginal birth.Im scared i will go into labor before my c-section the c-section date is so close to my due date.
You can go into labor and still have a c-section. I had a c-section with my first and we were going to try for a vbac with my second. My water broke and I was having very mild contractions, but baby had not yet dropped due to size, so I had the c-section anyway. Unless you have very fast labor, there still should be time to prepare for the c-section even if you go into labor, you may just have to get the hospital soon after labor begins. Let us know what you doctor says.
If you want a VBAC you should be able to, unless there is a reason you cant. I had a preemie at 28 weeks and they did a vertical incision and cut my uterus in an X cut, and my second with four years, but my pressure went up, so another c-section.. Sense than, I also had an ovary removed. So now I am pg with number three, 12 years later, and they considered a VBAC with me, but I insisted on a c-section.. I have a bad back injury on top of everything.. But if you insist and it is not going to harm your uterus, like having a hemmorage, try and see wahat happens.. I think I will take the easy way out.. And let them do all the work.. LOL.. good luck
