Hey girlies! how's everyone doing??

How are all the momma's doing? who's in the May babies club with me?? I am so in love with little Maddie I haven't even had time to go anywhere or do anything! (as you know... haven't even post as much! I miss ya'll so much!)
Ok, so who's breast feeding? or supplementing? what kind of 'problems' have you ran into with little one? (mine is colic-y and constipated...needless to say she gets fussy sometimes!), do you sleep at night? what are the must haves you guys think all new mommas should get?
I'm gonna go back to work (which is killing me!) in a couple of weeks... and I'll start pumping... I have NO clue how to use that darn thing! I also wanna boost my milk supply! I don't produce as much for my little one so I have to supplement.
I would love to hear from all my girls!!! I MISS YOU GUYS!!!

Hi Girls!  My May baby decided to arrive June 2nd, but I'd like to stay in the May babies club if you don't mine since you are all who I've shared with throughout this journey. Kaylin was 9 pounds, 13 ounces, 21 inches tall and arrived by c-section after my water broke early that morning, a few days after her due date.

Just had her 2 week appointment today, she is back up to 9.14 after losing almost one pound and is 21 1/2 inches tall now. On a usual day, she nurses every 2-3 hours throughout the day, switches to every hour in the evening which can be a bit draining, but then sleeps 4-5 hours at a time at night, so I should not complain about the evening hours cluster nursing. Unfortunately, last night was not a usual night and she wanted to nurse continually until 2 am!  Yikes!  She won't take a pacifier very much right now either so it's either breastfeeding or crying.

I don't need my c-section pain meds anymore, which is great, although my back does begin to ache if I am standing or walking around too much yet. Very much looking forward to my postpartum bleeding being done so I'll be more comfortable taking her along to run errands, attend breastfeeding/new mom group meetings, go on walks, etc. Oh, and I'm down 20 pounds already, although I still look like I'm about 5 months pregnant.

Glad to hear everyone is doing well!

Vanessa,
So good to hear from you.  I never could make enough milk.  Rhett gets mostly formula and I still BF too.  It was a roller coaster of emotion.  I tried pumping, herbs and the lactation consultant. Then I bawled, felt like a failure, fed him formula and got over it.  I'm back to work now, he is fat and sassy and very healthy so I guess we will both live.

Rhett isn't too gassy but I do use the dr. Brown bottles which are great.  Going back to work is also an emotional roller coaster. I'm still trying to deal.  I cry, then do better for a while.  Good luck with that and get some more pictures of that baby up!

Hey you! Glad you are lovin' your little princess!

And I'm sorry you have to go back to work! :-(

Back when I was breastfeeding, I wasn't producing enough milk either. I just pumped between feedings and tried to get it up. Eventually, I ended up pumping what I could and just doing a half and half mixture of formula and breast milk.
I finally just went to all formula (after bf'ing for a little over three months).

He ended up being on put on Gentlease formula to help with is stomach (gas, constipation, etc...).
It was the only formula that worked, and we were able to get it in the Target brand which saved us a bundle!

We also gave him Baby Gas-X (I never really used the Mylicon very much b/c the Gas-X seemed to work better. Maybe that was all in my head though)

That's all I have for you. Hope it helps a little. :-)

Also wanted to tell you that I got another BFP last Friday! I'm already starting round two...can you believe that?? Pray for me, girl...I'm gonna need it! LOL

Hugs!
